Hello, new member here.My handle is: old professor, reflecting my former occupation. I am 71 years young and single . I live in a small town along Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I am a Geographer by profession, now retired. I have been a Hunter Education Instructor for more than fifty years, specializing in survival and First Aid instruction. I am trained as an EMT and CPR instructor and Wilderness First Aid instructor. I have also worked on a Red Cross disaster action team. I have also taught archery and firearms skills. I have lived, hunted and fished all my life in northern Penna. and Northern Michigan and Ontario. I am very much an outdoor person. My hobbies are Traditional archery, deer and bear hunting, rifle and handgun shooting and survival issues. I used to do much more huntinhg and fishing but age and health have limited me of late.

    Welcome to WSF.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

    Howdy from Northern Indiana!
"Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing."
    Thomas Paine
