Never eat garlic to keep away mosquitoes. All it does is keep away other folks making you the only target available for mosquitoes.

Eat lots of garlic and take your B12 supplements. It really helps. Our state bird is the mosquito so deet is my friend.

In North Carolina when I was n the Coast Guard every restaurant had garlic on the tables. We put it on EVERYTHING. Almost never bitten.
But it takes a good week to get full of garlic. It did work though
