    nice work.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

Very nice knifes, do you have a jig you use to grind the convex blades?

No, and I dont know of any way to make a convex bevel other than freehand. I use a jig exclusively for the saber/scandi bevels. Thank you all for looking and commenting

I wondered if there was a way to do it with a jig, thanks for the reply.

you can do a convex grind with a rest/jig and a slack belt. I don't know of anybody who uses one, but you could surely get good repeatability use a concave radiused platen too. with practice of course it's easy enough to do it freehand.

Nice blades! They are simple working blades, yet they are very appealing. Well designed blades they aren't what they're not.

Thanks again for all the positive feedback and comments. I have made convex bevels on a slack belt but I presently use a rotary platen which makes the process much easier because you can anjust the radius. I use a workrest to get the plunge right but I don't know if that constitutes the use of a "jig". I have never seen a concave radiused platen and can't envision how the belt would make a concave bend between two fixed points - post a pic if you find one!

In addition to being able to rotate the platen, there is a tension adjustment screw for the rotary platen rubber belt.

Not including heat treat and I never timed myself... but generally speaking: a blade with no handle ~2 hours and a blade with scales ~4 hours.
