    Default Fresh sausage.

I just got a call from my other half. She's bringing home 5 pounds of fresh sausage. It's one of the benefits of a rural area. When one of the farmers slaughters hogs, family and friends end up with freshly made sausage. This may not appeal to some, but anyone who has had fresh, local, small farm raised meat knows what I'm talking about.

I can't tell you exactly what all the differences are, but this stuff is just way better than what you get at the local wal-mart. (For one, it's not pumped full of chemicals and water.)

I do alot of wild hog hunting down here and we make alot of homemade sausage. Can't beat the homemade stuff. Fresh meat, fresh herbs and spices. Don't get no better.

You ain't kidding!! I grew up in a tiny rural town in north central Arkansas, Ozark Mountains. Fresh pork sausage was standard there and then. How I miss it even to this day!
