A different type of survival.
Well as you know I was in the hospital 4 weeks ago and they did 2 CT scans. When I went to the gastroinestinal dr. last week they she told me they found some tumors in the left lone of my liver. Not exactly the news I was expecting to receive. So now I go this Monday for a PET scan for a closer look at them. The dye they use will immediately let them know if it is begnin or malignant. The really hard part will be waiting until the dr. calls me with the news.
This is why I say I have a new type of survival to work on. I know that if this is cancer I do not have a huge amount of time. I am trying to keep a positive outlook as my children are 26 and 21 and I have a 4 yr old granddaughter. Of course I also have my husband whom I have been married to for 30.5 years. The tumors are small and so they may be able to operate and take them out. My sister has offered me a lobe of her liver but she has 3 boys that are either in college or graduated. Plus the dr. is not sure I will qualify for a transplant due to my other health problems.
I will keep you posted just wanted to let you know that I knew you guys and gals would give me a little moral support and right now that is all that is needed.
