I do see a difference between primitive and the modern stuff we talk about.

Primitive Technology includes only primitive things.

The Workbench is a broader meaning that would include "Primitive Technology"

If we had both and you wanted to post about something modern, loading your own shells for instance, you'd know to post in The Workbench, but if you wanted to post about something primitive, say flint knapping, by name both would technically be correct.

I'm leaning to just calling it "Making Stuff" and then, if it gets big/popular/busy enough (more than say 10 threads a day) make further children subforums for dividing it up based on primitive technology or modern methods.

That's prob the best idea. Having it be divided into 2 sub forums under the category "workbench".
