I stopped using aluminum because I can't get eggs to not stick to it. It's annoying.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

I would stay away from the Trangia Millitary Stoves, They are't much good for anything but boiling water.
The Millitary Burners dont have a "Simmer Ring" to control the output of heat wich is at full at all times burning your food.
The Stainless Models weigh a TON!

I do LOVE the Civilian Model Burners and use them (Inside a Sterno Folding Stove Stand) with my Optimus Terra & Weekend Cooksets.

The TERRA ($60) is good for 2+ and the Weekend ($35) is fine for 1

Well I have a small teflon skillet, about 4" in diameter and it is made of real thick aluminum, but really doesn't weigh much, and a stailnless steel cup. It all fits in my backpack just fine and I cook on a wood fire. I just don't get too fancy!

If you're just looking for something cheap there's The One Egg Wonder, By T-Fal ($5 at walmart) its a 4.75" frying pan,
teflon coated and high quality like all their others.
You can even mod it to removable handle to save space.
