Herbal tea?!? *shudders* Tea is a beverage of Camellia sinensis. There is no other.

I usually drink ginger root tea or licorice root tea in the evening.

I have become quite addicted to Sleepy Time Tea (tisane!) by Celestial Seasonings. The basis is chamomile and spearmint, which I can start growing come spring, but there are other things in it for, such as hibiscus and rose hips. I have a mind to replicate the recipe in my garden.

I had a Camellia sinensis growing for a while, but I killed it.

I just finished off the last of a pot of coffee brewed over a fire. I'll be having a hot cup of Lipton's with honey and lemon a little later.

Has anyone tried making tea from persimmon leaves? I always see it mentioned that it is high in vitamin-C.

Kortoso - The mint family is an invasive that will go nuts in your garden or yard. Best to keep them in a pot so you can keep them under control.

A few years ago we were in Amish country and the smell of mint was over powering. The further we drove down the road the stronger it got. They were combining a mint field. I figured they planted a couple plants that spring and it got away from them. LOL. The smell was so strong it was sickening.

Hot chocolate is far better for night, tea (or coffee) is a morning to evening drink

Shoot, I got a whole pile of those herbal medicines rotting in my backyard. Think I'll give it a shot.

    Hey Winnie,
From the back of the "Twinings" Herbal revive tea.

In 1706 Thomas Twining started selling fine tea in London.

the strand,London, and in more than 100 countries throughout the world.
    Lemon and Chinese ginger tea.

Nope sorry LLT Thomas Twining only sold Camellia sinensis Tea in 1700's. The Camellia sinensis or Tea bush was originally imported from India, Ceylon(nowSri Lanka) which produce Black tea and China that produces Green Tea. He was one of the first importers of my national beverage.
    From Twinings.com

What are herbal teas and do they contain caffeine?
Herbals are not technically tea as they do not come from Camellia sinensis. They are commonly made from infusions of herbs, spices, fruits, and flowers. They are naturally caffeine free.

Forgot to add, China does black Tea too.

Hahaha, I do the same at work. One coffee, one green tea.
And of course I drink tea at night. I prefer the apricot or lemon tea in that time.

I'm not sure how honey would make you sleepy. It's almost pure sugar, except it is about 18% moisture content (for prime honey). SUGAR RUSHHHHH!
Tea is an all day drink. Coffee in the morning, then sweet tea till I finally go to bed. If it's sleepytime you are trying to reach, come to work with me one day. You won't have a problem going to sleep 2 hours before bedtime. I went to bed a little after 9 last night...
