I don't know about anyone else; there are to many items to think about. Narrow the list to essential items like food, water gathering, fire starting matrials, items to signal for help. Divide the items up between all parties and have brainstorm session on what the items can be utilized for.

You may want to explain a little more ---- unless of course you are just trolling around to see what response you get.

I find it ironoc that gum, perfume, and condoms are on the list. I would put the pretty lady to use at the local tribe to get the heck outta there!

Just kidding. I really don't have a clue. With random items, you kinda have to wait to see what your environment is and what your needs are and try to utilize them accordingly.

Home work? Sounds like you brought it with you......

Anyway, leather mittens with rabbit fur in the Amazon?

Remove rabbit fur, used for fishing bait with bobbie pin hook, leather mittens for handing hot and thorny things.

Good to see a condom....you never know (never mind) water carrier, same with plastic bag.

Sponge , mopping up dew for drinking water

Mirror, signaling,.... make up, camo... or if flammable fire starter.

    Clothes, boots, socks, obvious

    Food obvious...divide.

Lighter, obvious....fire starter, possible glasses as well.

Coins jewerly, bribe natives to not kidnap ya.....caution this may back fire....better keep out of sight.

Electronic gear.... text Mom to come and get ya.

    So theres a start..........

I would use them to trade with the natives for a boat ride to the nearest airport. And if the negotations got sticky, I would throw in the three other people, for their breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Default You're taking the lazy way out

You've got to come up with the answers yourself, and let us comment.

You going to the Amazon soon?

Do you and three others intend to fall off a turnup truck and have no remains of any form of transport, no wreckage, no gear?

I'm not, and if I were I can not imagine having the contents of a trash bag close at hand and not a single useful article among the crap.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

Home work or help writing a book. You don't you change the location to lets say Chicago and have a garage sale that would be easier.

Post #4 is actually depressing. No wonder our kids lag behind the 3rd world.
And the worst of it? No damn imagination.

You might get more help if you introduce yourself. You will be taken more seriously even if you are 10 or 40 years old. I'm guessing you do not live in USA. You place yourself in the Amazon with three other people. No indication of an emergency relating to a school craft project that you are having difficulty with or a survival emergency in the Amazon rainforest. You say you want to make something with that stuff. Why?? What is your objective. You can make a scarecrow with the stuff But Why? What is my objective. Or your actual assignment.

It would take a short story typed or a day by the campfire with a bottle of Jim Beam for me to do that one.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

What class is this for? (That's why I asked her to list out her thoughts).

Let's start it this way. Hi, I'm Sofiya. That's short for fiery sapphire and I'm from Canada. I have this homework assignment that....

You take it from there. Yeah, I know, it's hard to pull yourself away from the Xbox and Facebook and texting about your favorite mascara but I've sat in more class rooms than you're ever going to see (I'm clairvoyant like that....look it up) and I don't need to be doing your homework for you.

Is the sun balm flammable?...if so use it on a torn up tissue to catch a spark, or just use it to prevent sunburn.
Who are these three other people? Are they totally useless?..Who is carring the food?, (better be you..... or you can write that off in a flash).......
    What is a kohl, lead????????

Kohl is probably eyeliner, if I remember correctly from "17 magazine"--the European edition. (we don't call it that here)

Hey sofiya why don't you tweet your clueless friends and see what brilliant advice they have to offer?
