    Another saw blade knife with brown and tan Crashcarta. The sheath is covered with a piece of tanned cod fish.

    Beautiful knife! Now we need a tuitorial on tanning Codfish....
    Keep in mind the problem may be extremely complicated, though the "Fix" is often simple...

    Nice work! What kind of saw blade? I'm not a knife maker rather a machinist. Metallurgy pikes my interest. I often go by my local heavy equipment repair shop and get medium, large and LARGE discarded bearing races for a knife maker friend of mine. Supposedly bearing races are awesome steel for forging knives.

    Great looking blade there. That's a canvas mycarta (sp) handle right? Those look so cool! Nice.

    The steel is most likely 1095. I can't be 100% certain on that. The handles are made from denim. Here's the saw blade the steel was cut from. It's a (was) 54" blade.
