    nice post - and a good read - I checked it out because my dad taught me the way to take wood and french polish it to a high luster.

    Excellent , "DETERMINING GRIT SIZES of SANDPAPERS and BUFFING COMPOUNDS" , last year I redid the floors in a rent house , all wood and all 55 years old , it looks beutiful , grit sizes arent very clear , no one will tell you whats rights ,so you just have to "wing it" , great article , I could of used it a year ago!

    Wow! All I can say is Wow! Thank you for posting that. What a treasure of information. I've buffed and polished very little metal but it's all been trial and error. Mostly in cleaning up old tools and Coleman gear. This is some great stuff and you gave me a learning day. I love learning days.
