    - People are friendly.

And I have to tell you the truth the Hungarian sites are...
    ...far from the reality.

Well Since you brought up the analogy of doctors and specialization, There are "Specialized" Forums out there. For knapping stone try Paleo planet... I even Found a free book online about that. Not really great, but covered the fundamentals.
For Knife making Try Knife Dogs, one of the friendliest IMO is here... http://knifedogs.com/forum.php

For edible plants and such try your local college university or do a search for wild edibles. Some Youtube sites are even pretty specialized in regards to content.

Some subjects are so "Hot" that there are NUMEROUS forums covering those. Things like Guns, camping gear, First aid, you'll just have to mull through and find one you like. I've even seen one that is dedicated solely to hammock camping and not much else! If you use a tent they don't want to hear about it!

This place is like a GP type doctor, lots about lots of stuff. Things like Politics and religion are off limits topics here, so if you're interested in either one, you'll have to look around for a suitable Forum for those. Lately, I've been REALLY hot about some political Topics, so haven't been here much. Kinda' weird really. I wasn't all that interested in politics when I joined here, Now I seem to be discussing mainly that. Especially with an election coming up. I'm going !!! Well I guess I better correct that.... you Can't go somewhere you already are. LOL Yep, I talk too much politics lately.

Pal don't pass out if you read this!!! Yep, I'm even REGISTERED to Vote!!! OK OK Don't everyone pass out at the same time!!! Sheez!! It's all YOU Guys fault!!

Speaking of politics...totally suppressed (or repressed) here.
I don't visit any sites about it, don't talk to friends about it, just Mr. B getting his ears bent daily. Thank God, we're on the same page, for once.

Not sure if you guys are kidding or if anyone would actually be offended.
So... In the intrest of spreading potential life saving knowledge, I would like to submit one.

I have been flying around the internet alot this week and I have to admit alot of good sites out there, and alot of doomsdayers. But sometimes you just have to read inbetween the lines.

    Thanks again

Here is another one I found years ago and would read all the time. Lots of good info. It's what I was looking for.
Pure, condensed info with no filler BS.
This is not the site you would go to for basket weaving info.
A quick look and I don't see anything that I would disagree with now but, Its been at least a year or two since I've realy looked it over.
