I was watching a video with Ray Mears,he took the berries from some type of hawthorn bush and sqeezed the juice from them! After it set up and got firm he sliced it kind of like cranberry sauce. He sid it should stay good for a couple of years after dried. My question is are all hawthorn plants edible or just certain ones. I tried searching but could only find a small amout of info. Nothing that says that the Washington Hawthorn is edible but leaves it kind of vague.I have one in my yard that is loaded with berries, and would like try my hand at making something with them! Most of the time I stay clear of eating anything besides nuts because alot of stuff looks alike to me.
Thanks
Willie
