There is no greater solitude than that of the Tracker in the forest, unless perhaps it's that of the wolf in the wilderness.

I don't think it justifies a new forum, but rather I can rename the "Primitive Technology" forum to include it. Otherwise there would be topical overlap. "I want to post about making a knife handle out of antler, where do I post? Primitive Technology or Workbench?"

    Name ideas? Maybe...

Sounds good, but we weren't talking about just primitive things, other things such as bags, stoves, etc. but that will work.

I think that the workbench idea is a good one. I have noted however, that the title of a topic or forum has never prevented us from talking about whatever we ..... what was I saying?

Just call it technology...or "making stuff", the thread titles within can determine whether it's more primitive or contemporary.
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

I think crashdive123 made a good call. Pretty much sums it up, "survival isn't about easy."
gun con·trol n. definition 1. The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker received that fatal bullet wound. 2. The ability to hit what you are aiming at. 3. The first key step of a corrupt political agenda where good citizens are disarmed so that a dictatorship may replace a democracy in the future.

Chris I think the Primitive Technology Forum and the concept of the Workbench Forum are two different animals (so to say). Where you would post the question about the Antler handle would depend on how and what the knife blade is made of... I personally don't want to lose the Primitive Technology Forum. But I'd like to share ideas with other members on new creations or modifications using powertools and new high tech materials too... JMHO
