    Default Latest Knife

I kind of liked the shape and feel of the knife I made for the DOC auction, so I made another. Still need to make some pants for it and put an edge on it (dadburn work getting in the way).

Wow, that is a beautiful knife. Out of curiosity, how much does a knife like that go for?

Either that or he's the guy with a trail of dead insects behind him.

Cool, Bright colors hurt my inner Army man, but it definitely gets your attention.

I think they will stay away from him. The color does resemble a bug zapper!

Love it. I wonder what a few layers of white intermixed with the blue and red would look like? The proportions are great too. Someday, hopefully I can be as good as you.

I did red, white and blue paper micarta. I think the cloth would come out a little more vibrant. It's on my list of combinations I want to try.

A sander like that will make flat grinds easier. If you want to hollow grind you will need a sander with a contact wheel that is meant to grind on. This is the one I'm using. http://www.grizzly.com/products/Knif...r-Buffer/G1015 I did buy the 10" contact wheel to make it easier to clear the motor when grinding to the left. It adds about $75 to the cost. Eventually I'll build one. The one I want, with all the attachments is almost $5,000. Kind of out of the question, so building something similar brings the costs in line.
