What is "WRONG" about todays survivalists thinking........????

OK, To be clear this thread is NOT about this forum.

When I visit INTERNET forums, blogs, MSM articles, etc. I always leave with a strange feeling that something is flawed in the basic assumptions.

I am looking for a list of assumptions people make that might be wrong. I request that (at least) for a while you restrain from discussion & only list what you think are flawed assumptions.

Example of what "Might" be flawed assumptions.

1.) The odds favor you surviving because you are prepared.

2.) That there will at some point be a return to what was "Normal"

3.) Assuming you will not only survive but you will thrive.

4.) You live someplace safe.

There are hundreds of assumptions that we all make, what are they........???

Again this is a list from which discussion threads can be born, if you feel compelled to discuss one of the assumptions, start a NEW thread. The goal here is to trigger multiple new discussions, and not disorient this thread. Thank you.

5.) Survival alone is better than group survival.

!9.) I would Never eat Top Roman or White "Minute" Rice..........Never, even in a survival situation I want to eat healthy.

21.) I was a Sniper, Ranger, Navy Seal, Firearms Instructor, 5'th degree something......So I'll be fine.
