There's an opportunity for all those that want to survive in the wild. You can survive through an Alaskan winter and get paid for it!

Looks like an opportunity for a youngster. I do believe the more mature would do well to stay away

Well there's always the back yard. That way you can call Dominos when you get tired of playing with the bow drill.

I think someone more mature might be more responsible...you know...a caretaker's job requires pro-activity and willingness to work your hiney off.

I am sure from an employers stand point that is true. From the employees standpoint maybe not so much

    Pal, you're right.
I finally read the one sentence Winter Caretaker job description:

"The job requires shoveling snow off the roof of the Lodge and cutting and hauling in firewood with snow machines."

    $1,200/mo, food & board provided

A good opportunity for a young person to find out what it's like before finding out what it's really like. And they get paid too boot!

The only other job not filled yet is a dishwasher.

I am safe there, I have been banished from dishwashing duties due to gross incompetence by the wife.

Very smart on your part Pal, but I'd never fall for that ploy.
I'd make you do those dishes til you got it right.

Mmm,, making a note to stay out of Mrs B's sphere of influence. In certain female circles I have successfully cultivated an aurua of "untrainability". Now that does have a cost, no mercy in the manual tasks and wood working areas. It is one mans cross to bear

As we like to say in the city...if you don't pay toll at the bridge, you'll pay at the tunnel.

Welcome home, David. Yes, we know you are a US citizen if you are from Puerto Rico. A little background information might be helpful. Have you ever spent much time in cold weather and/or snow?

My thoughts exactly!!! A few months of solitary confinement in the snow and someone's going to lose their mind!!

If you can keep your head when all about you, are losing their's and blaming it on you. -Kipling
