    Default facebook connect removal

How do I edit my Connections to remove the Facebook Connect thing?
Having it slows down my page load too much and I don't even use Facebook...
    Thanks!

After a bit of looking around, Adblock seems to be your best bet (considering you don't use Facebook; if someone else who uses your computer does, it may be related to that account, however).

Using an ad blocker (most recommendations seem to be fore Adblock Plus for Firefox), add to the filters: |http://*.connect.facebook.*/*

This should cover anything related to Facebook Connect

Get the Ghostery plug-in to get rid of those trackers, web bugs etc.
It's blocking 4 of them on this page.
    I use it with Firefox.

Don't use ad blockers, unless, you know, you like shoplifting, which is really what they are.

That being said, if you don't want to view facebook things. Edit your windows "hosts" file (google it to learn the location) and put an entry in for facebook .com, connect.facebook.com, etc that goes to 127.0.0.1 which will negate any connection attempts.

I have to monkey around in terminal on a mac.
    How bout a button?
Or does facebook pay the rent?
    If it does, whatever.
