You're going to have to offer a lot more information in order to get any meaningful responses.

    Time of year?
    Camping or hotel?
If camping ----- backpacking or other mode of transport?
    Your experience level?
    How old are you?

While this is labeled the Ultimate Female Packing List I think it's a good one for anyone. If we knew what you are going to do in terms of activities then we might be able to help a bit more. Hiking requires different gear than skiing but the core equipment should be pretty close for you.

Lapland is a huge area, so if you could be a little more specific, it would help.
    - When are you going. The difference between going now and in the winter is quite significant.
    - The things you are going to do "outside" is what?
    - You're staying in a cabin, so I expect there to be some form of heating and a kitchen?
    - How about food, do you need to hunt for it or is there supplies in the cabin?

I've been on several trips to the swedish and norwegian part of Lapland in the winter, for arctic survival training with danish, swedish and norwegian special forces. It's cold in the winter. As in extremely cold. Unforgiving winter climate that WILL kill you if you screw up.
Never been there during the summer, but be sure to bring mosquito repellant.

Unless, of course, you meant Lapland, Indiana. In that case just bring money and your passport. You can stay at Turkey Run State Park.

    Teillä leikkaa aika huonosti!

The province of Lapland isn't large, it is quite a small place.
I was just wanting to hear what other people take to a vacation.
(Well not vacation, but a "camping trip")

In Finland the date system goes: day.month.year.
Just wanting to get this out of my system. And the clock system is here 24h and in America it probably is 12h.

Even if your day and month go in that order, that still puts you last month........

Well, I'm not sure what you count as Lapland then. If you discount the swedish, norwegian and russian parts of Lapland, and only count the finnish part, it's still almost 59.000 square kilometers (that's app. 36.500 square miles for you americans). As in thousands of square kilometers (or square miles). So a "small place" seems to be a stretch. And if you add the swedish, norwegian and russian parts... Pretty big area.

    @Rick

Turkey Run State Park.. I've been there a couple of years ago, when I visited an old american friend who lives in Indiana (close to the Kentucky border). Very nice place.
