    pack is on your back? my training has taught me to face my enemies. sooo you should 'nt get shot in the back unless your retreating and MARINES NEVER RETREAT, RETREAT HELL WE JUST GOT HERE, BATTLE OF BEAULA WOODS. Oooooorah

    It's still a good idea for infantry. They drop into prone position, set the backpack up as a rifle rest, and nothing sticks up but the kevlar helmet. I can see how it would work. Anyone know if this is current issue?

    seems like if someone was going to shoot you, they'd be going for your gear. So they'd either go for a head shot, or better yet take out your legs so as not to get all that messy blood and brain matter all over the gear. If I was that paranoid I'd just stay at home and watch man vs. wild

    I wonder if they make ballistic hongs, you could just bend over and be bullet proof
