    A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. He was only lost for 3 days and needed to be rescued. Had he known anymore it may have killed him.

    God forbid if a "former Marine and Special Forces soldier with extensive experience as a back country hiker" couldn't have hacked it in his own habitat.
    I'd love to know a little more about what all he had on him, did with it and what his plan was.
