Default paracord knife lanyard on a pretty blade

This knife lanyard went to a friend in Germany who just sent me back the pics. not sure who the knife maker is, I'm waiting to hear back from him - but it sure looks nice!
This lanyard has a adjustable thumb thong (via paracord bead).

Cool work. I'm surprised to see a nylon strap on a well made leather sheath like that.

I'm familier with the sheath maker. It's actually a kydex seath with a leather cover.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

First I think it looks awesome. The lanyard color fits in nicely and the knot work is exceptional (as always from you). I am torn with the whole kydex/leather/webbing combo of the sheath however. I am thinking that it would be better either with a kydex/webbing/paracord combo, or with only leather (for sheath and lanyard). This is only my opinion, and the thing is beautiful regardless. I also think that if the sheath is kydex, then the scales should be synthetic as well. Crashcarta would be perfect. With a leather sheath, then the wood scales for sure. But then, the item as it is is beautiful, and I would love to have it. So, see why I am torn?
