Default Video of my dramatic monologue

Hey guys! For the first night of our Community Jubilee I did a dramatic retelling of the story of the man born blind from John 9. Folks seemed to get something out of it, even though I botched up the accent a little. Thought I would share.

Feel free to click the link below, or not. All up to you.

Thanks! I did something like this at our Christmas Eve Service, telling the story of Simeon from Luke 2.

Speaking as an atheist, the content doesn't really mean anything to me.

Speaking as a fellow human being i really respect you for:
a/ having the balls to get up there and do it
b/ Having the energy and heart to take time out to do something you love.

Purely out of curiosity, what was your thinking behind the accent?

If historical accuracy was your goal surely you should be speaking Hebrew and/or Aramaic?
Or was it simply to add a bit of spice and entertainment to the performance?

Good on ya any which way you look at it

It was an attempt at an Israeli accent. Israel was, after all, the location. (If I had spoken in Hebrew or Aramaic - which I can't, anyway - nobody would understand what I was saying.) The Israeli accent is extremely difficult to do well. I did it much, much better in practice. It's just hard to maintain an accent for that long, especially when you are in front of a crowd.

"It was not because of the sins; But so that he power of God be demonstrated in his life."

What a great sermon in a time when everyone seems to be blaming Him for all the disasters and hardships.

Great job PTW. Really great job my friend.
