    Default Taurus Circuit Judge-Range report.

Had a little time to give the Circuit Judge a test run.

Comes with two "choke tubes".... they aren't really choke tubes, but a shot straightening tube for bird shot, for the .410......And a smooth tube for use with the .45lc, called a thread guard.

Measured out 30 ft, fired a .410 #6 shot at a paper plate, using the smooth tube.
Had about a 3 ft dia pattern with 11 pellets in the plate....not too good.
.410 about #4 buck about the same 3 ft pattern, with 3 pellets in the plate.

Fired 5 .45lc with the same smooth tube, had about a 4in. group, off hand, fooling around, not bad.
I'm thinking that if I got serious I could do much better.

Put in the shot straightening tube, pattern on both #6's and #4 buck nice dense pattern in the plate.

Now you can't shoot the .45lc thru this tube, so if it's in, leave the .45lc shells in the bag with the smooth tube.

So if shooting the .45 the pattern willl suffer.
Took some pic's but can't really see the patterns too well, as I didn't have a marker to out line.

Oh, well, so much for dual purpose with out changing something.............

So I take it this is not going to be a gun you can walk the woods with a shotshell up first followed by a couple of LC and another shotshell or two.

It will be all shot or all LC or the pattern will suffer.

Soooo, would you rather have a revolving rifle or a revolving shotgun?
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

I'm thinking the Savage Model 24, 20ga/22 mag might be the better solution, LOL.
But for around "The Place", the .410 may be the most useful tool, with ground hogs and such making the wood piles fall down and generally makeing tunnels under the shed.

Still pretty cool little "whatever it is"...............Glad I won it....
I still wouldn't buy one, nor would I buy the "Judge", pistol version.
