    Default newbie from downeast Maine

    Greetings from downeast Maine. Both my job and interests have kept me focused on the outdoors for over 4 decades living, studying, and working in Maine. Looking to get additional information on self-sufficiency and evolving towards living off grid ... and with any luck, transitioning from the NE to the NW. Looking forward to good information, discussions, and possibly making connections with new friends.

    Thank you tipacanoe ... means a lot.

    SARKY ... I was referring US, as in from ME to AK. That's just what a retirement plan/destination should look like, no? :}

    Thanks all for the warm welcome.
