I have a model 96 Swedish Mauser that I used to shot out to 600 yards with in a vintage combat rifle league I was in back in the late 90's. We had to use era correct ammunition. It was a lot of fun.
1. If it's in your kit and you don't know how to use it....It's useless.
2. If you can't reach your kit when you need it....Its useless.

800 with a 91/30!! WOO HOOO. That is a LONG way!! Good on ya for getting out there and shooting it!
I have went to 500 with ok results with my 91/30. Further than that I use my Remington 700 in .308win.
