    Wink 70 dollar emergency menu to feed 2-4 for a whole week.

    I've tried this menu plan before, just to see if it worked. Thought I'd share it here with the surge in gasoline prices. The four of us actually ate on 70 bucks for two whole weeks, rather than one. This menu makes more than enough. I saved left overs for lunches, and used the lunch recipes for dinners the following days, just to extend it.     Thanks for the rep, Tux!

    Anyone interested in that menu, might be interested in this laundry soap recipe too. I spent 7 bucks two years ago on the stuff needed to make laundry soap concentrate, and am just now needing to spend a dollar to get a fels naptha bar to make more. I even gave a few gallons away. 7 bucks for two years worth of laundry soap... and now another buck will take me 6 months to another whole year. It works good too. The scent is light and fresh... barely noticeable. I make the liquid version, and the only thing I notice is once in awhile I get powdery white streaks on darker laundry if I didnt shake the mixture well enough before adding it to my water. But, if you rub the laundry together after it dries, the spots vanish very quickly. ( you could add frankincense oil to the soap to make your cloths mosquito repellant, too. http://www.duggarfamily.com/recipes.html
