Note, for those that haven't tried bacon that hasn't been "processed" a lot of the taste is in the smoking or seasoning.
It will taste rather bland.

Thick & Very Crisp! When cooking the bacon I look for it to cook down until a foam of bubbles form around the pieces but just before it starts to smoke. If you drop a piece, it shatters...

Bacon Horders Unite - Every June I have a Wild Pig Roast and with that a bacon fry as well of wild boars both myself and the gun shop customers have gotten, My bacon is smoking as we speak and there will be approx 70 lbs of hicory smoked bacon and 3 approx 140lb dressed out smoked pigs..... some folks bring bushels of sweet taters and yet others some corn......and yet others bring sweet things.

We always have avail the taboo Yard Darts (Jarts), horseshooes, blanket traders, crafts, woods walks with challanges and people set up their tents or just hang out on the land and stay a few days.

Like I said, June, I will announce the actual dates in early May sometime.

LOLOLOL... well the bacon has been smokin for about 3 weeks now.........

I showed one of the fun nurses this thread and all she said was DAYUM, y'all need to cut out some of the pork fat, even if it does rule...... all I have had here is this dang turkey bacon and honestly, it is pure POS.... bad....nasty stuff.

Well some of the guys usually get into a take a shot of beer and throw a knife contest.....most get to about 30 shots or so and they start mssing the entire 800 lb pig target made outta plywood. The beer we have is usually home made and strong LOL

Well, even the nasty all knarled up and rancid bacon grease has about 10% Nitro in it and to render it out, all ya have to do is boil it and filter the grease over ice into a few redundant cheese cloths.....then scrap the nitro crystals off into something made of glass when the crystals are still wet.....once dried, do not even fart around it......had a guy last year put wet crystals into a soda cap lid and placed it down the range on top of a log cut off..... about an hour later, he took a pellet gun and stood about 10 yards away and shot it with a bb tipped pellet. The resulting explosion shattered the log it was sitting on and totally knocked him on his arse...... Gotta love bacon parts that actually explode....... PORK FAT RULES.... B A M
