Tornadoes are touching down all throughout the area. Rain and wind are picking up. I'm fascinated by stormy weather, so it should be interesting.

You be careful!
Because a survival situation carries an aura of timelessness, a survivor cannot allow himself to be overcome by it's duration or quality. A survivor accepts the situation as it is and improves it from that standpoint. Prologue from Outdoor Survival Skills by Larry Dean Olsen
I think that is the same storm that is suppose to give us 8-12" of snow on Friday! I use to enjoy a good thunderstorm...before I became a lineman!

Hoping to hear from you. We barely got any thunder and lightning out of it. Wasn't nearly as bad as was anticipated. We did get a good 2" soaking rain out of it. Garden is popping out all over now!
We have an area near hear that was devastated by a tornado recently. It is an awe-inspiring experience.
Crash....watch yer top knot down there....use your skills, common sense and stay safe. We got snow witgh this same storm system last night.
Round one is over. Round two started early this morning. Mostly downed trees, and a couple of gas station canopies down. The weather alert radio cooperated and stopped going off at about 11:30 last night. Started back up this morning at about 5:30 though.
Here's the lightning tracker from a few minutes ago.

I guess all was well at 4:30 yesterday, but haven't heard from you since. Hope all is well this morning. News is saying theres lots of stuff tore-up over your way. If we don't hear from you soon, we're gonna form a search party.
Yeah, we're fine. Lots of downed trees and power lines yesterday. I actually took a nice nap during the heavier rains. Something about listening to the rain that makes me sleep well.
Glad to hear it.
