Thread: a monster self defense blade!

Default a monster self defense blade!

I put a paracord handle on this custom knife of customer's. This is one killer blade; I cut myself by accident doing the work, its as sharp as a razor, yet as burly as I've ever handled. Wow. heres the "specs"; its a 4-turn turks head knot. ends are buried and you can't tell where it begins or ends. its one single 30' piece of paracord that is tight as hell! now I know what a "big" knife feels like. this is one evil blade. I've gotten permission from the owner to whack some wood with it so I'm very excited for tomorrow! I asked him what its for, and its not a woods blade. he just wanted something wild and pirate-like for a bedside blade. well he got it. I could shave with this thing.

Indeed; I'd call that a pocket cutlass.

It looks great and while I'd probably use for more utilitarian purposes, now thinking of it i have about 6 knives within easy reach of the bedside.

    Good job.

That is some great work on the para cord. I love the blade too.

Nice work with the handle! That is such a clean looking job with the paracord. What did it have before? It looks like the kydex is shaped for the cord already...

before it had a simple series of half hitches in paracord around the handle. kinda "flat" feeling. the turks head fills and rounds it a bit.

Looks good and mean, but I don't think I want it in bed with me. Scaled down I would like it better.

LOL Treat the women in your life right and we won't have to worry about a "Lorenna Bobbit Moment". It's the Aileen Wuornos' that worry me!
