    Default TONS of snow!

It started yesterday around 10am and didn't stop 'til 5am today. 18+"!!! Blowing sideways, total white-out.
Had a live show in front of my window of cars slipping and sliding and getting stuck and I just couldn't believe how many people had NO CLUE how to drive in these conditions. One guy was going back and forth for 1.5 hrs, struck a fire hydrant in the back twice, shoveled under tires, placed cardboard from the trash pile underneath to get some traction and when he finally would, he'd rev it up like a moron and find himself in a worse position than before. Four wheel drives just sailed by. There was plenty of notice of what was coming, don't understand what people were thinking.
All in all, a fun show.

Once again the weathermen blew the forecast for my area.
Told us 18" we got 6". Where I work was supposed to get 24". Got maybe 12".
Guess that's better than the other way around...

Maybe the persons you watched sliding around were tourists up for the holiday?

I am taking a week off (too much unused holiday time!)
and this is perfect weather in which to play.
Will be heading out shortly to Central Park to bask in the winter wonderland and take some pics.

Definitely not. No these were cabbies and most likely "bridge and tunnel folks." (our term for folks who live outside Manhattan) One can just tell.

LOL....24 hours before it started, out weather people said we would get 1 to 2.5 inches. (Depending on exactly where you are.)

    We got 10+ inches.

It was 8 to 12 inches, 12+ in some places. LOL

Same here but maybe 8 inches in central MA.
But,the wind was intense, gust at least 50-70 mph all night.
Still gusting this morning and another inch or two expected.

After driving through snow to get to work I was informed about the southerners inability to drive in snow. My response was " that must have been southerners that I saw in the ditch this morning". So, when I see folks having a hard time with the snow I figure it must be southerners.

If we killed all the weather forecasters, would we still get snow?

Pretty much the same here, LowKey. Thought we'd get hit a bit harder than you closer to the coast.

I'm cranking up the thermostat, getting the sunlamp out from the attic, spreading a beach mat over the living room floor, throwing on a swimsuit, playing some Caribbean genre tunes on my iPod, and mixing up a batch of Pina Coladas.

If we didn't have weathermen, how would I know when to make French toast?

That will be addressed in the next set of TSA regulations.
