Greetings from Maui!

Hi all. I'm coming over from another survival site where the atmosphere was getting ugly. I am retired LEO and army (infantry) and have lived in the field quite a bit. I used to be an avid shooter, hunter, and fisherman, but am recuperating from a pretty bad injury, so have not been active for a few years. I like traditional archery, gunsmithing, camping, and am looking into metal casting and machining for the gunsmithing.

I am in my late 40's, married, and have 2 grown kids. I enjoy being prepared with contingency plans and supplies, but living on one of the remotest islands in the world has eliminated the bug out plan unless I get advanced notice. I am looking at a bug in and pray for rescue. (The wife refuses to move and since she is an essential element in my kit, I am staying.)

A friend recommended this site to me. I want to learn from others without the drama involved in some other sites.

I have extensive building experience of homes and was a sniper for a police department. I also commanded an infantry company. If any of the knowledge I have can be of use to people here, I would love to help.

Well Hello and Welcome Home. Thank you for serving also. There are some other Vets here as well so you should feel right at home there, throw in a few LEO's here too. The only Drama is when a spammer gets the ban hammer. Unless you count 2D2K and Ken's Antics... which is just playful banter, like two brothers pretending they can't stand each other.

Welcome to the forum. The Moderators here run a tight ship. I can't say enough for the Administrator guy........(Rick or some goofy name like that)..........Hard to believe one smart human can be so Bass'akwards about economics. Thank you for your service.
