Hello from Utah
Hello,
I've been lurking around for awhile so I thought I should go ahead and introduce myself.
My name is Rob. I'm a 39 year old married male from Indiana currently living near Salt Lake City, Utah, where I work in a warehouse/distribution center.
I have no official prior training, but have fished for several years and done a bit of car camping and a few short hikes, so I consider myself a definite novice.
Interests and hobbies would include gardening, wilderness skills, fishing, survival preparation, food storage, backpacking, camping, self-reliance, homesteading and living off-grid.
I'm here to learn and maybe make a few friends in the process. My first priority, as my wife and I are spending more time in the outdoors, is to learn the knowledge and skills necessary to avoid getting ourselves into trouble in the first place, and if we still do, to make sure we get home safe.
