    Default No longer homeless

Well I signed a lease on a apartment today. It's a little higher rent than I wanted to pay but it is within my salary's ability to pay. I'll have to keep my electric bill down if I want to have the room in my budget for internet at home. Nothing but camping furniture for the present; but I'll look at St Vincent De Paul in the next few weeks. They even have delivery here, which is very nice indeed. I'm also shopping overstock.com looking for good deals on new stuff, as I need things to be DEEPLY discounted for the time being.(it's always nice to save a buck but for now very necessary.)
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishing and I ask God to richly bless you all.

You got the most important stuff covered: job & roof over your head. The rest will come.

I've found craigslist to be an excellent source for cheap furniture and the like. Often things can be even had for free. There is also freecycle.org, but it isn't in as many cities as craigslist

I was browsing in a Salvation Army thrift shop the other day. It would be well worth your time to check them out if there is one in your area.

Good for you! I'm glad it's working out for you. First the job, now the apartment. Things are looking up.

Too bad you're wasting your money on a place to lay your head, but 99+% of people have bought into that baloney, so you've got a lot of company.

I considered looking for a van and setting it up to live in. But and apartment is OK for me for the next few months of my life as it is now if not the next year. I would have preferred to have gotten a bigger place with a housemate. I don't mind living alone; but I am very gregarious. Besides that, I hate cooking for just myself. Odd that I cook for hundreds of people everyday at work, yet still prefer to share meals off work.
Now I am looking for other sources of income so that I can do some things I want and put some emergency supplies and funds up for the possibilities that may come to be. I think I'll need Lawyers, Guns and Money.
