14" fiskars hatchet paracorded to the nines...

Just finished this, its going to Alaska along with the recently posted blaze orange paracord handle Marine Utility Knife. New owner is going on a long snowmobile trip in March and this exact hatchet will be sent to him to be his sidekick. I didn't video this one for tutorial; but I've got to do two more and promise to do some tutorial work!!

I've used wrapped and unwrapped hatchets. I've never had any wrist issues either way. If you are having wrist problems could it be your technique?

Just am older and dealing with arthritis and absolutely love my hatchet. Thinking, less shock to wrist = less shock to shoulder... even maybe easier on the finger joints... g

Gotcha. It would probably improve your grip - which may help all around.

I really don't know; I don't feel any shock using this hatchet, but then again I've got popeye forearms from all the knotting!

Really great job on the hatchet! I gotta get me a paracord stash so I can wrap some stuff for real.
In a previous post you said you wouldn't unwrap your items to use the cordage, and that's a little baffling to me; I know it's for comfort and padding, but I was thinking of wrapping my synthetic rifle stock (it's hollow and LOUD) as cordage storage (I made a rhyme!!) to save a little room in my bag. I guess the question is "do you ever wrap items JUST for cordage storage for future use?
