Earlier this year I got a knife from Paul for my son Zach's Birthday. But before I could give it to him, he found a knife he thought he had to have so I got to keep it for myself (yeah I know what a bummer). I sharpened the knife but other than that I really hadn't used it until today.
This morning while deer hunting I found a place where the deer were traveling and looked around to find a place to build a ground blind. There was a good spot with enough cover, but I would have to clear a few small trees to open a shooting lane. I cut at least six one inch diameter and smaller trees with the knife and two that were at least two inches in diameter. I set up in the ground blind about 1PM and at 1:50PM two does came ambling down the trail. One doe left and the other went to my skinning tree. I pulled out the knife again then skinned, gutted and cut the deer up with the knife. Now it was not shaving sharp like it began, but it was still very sharp. I hit it a few licks on my ceramic stone and it is shaving again. That is one fine blade, thanks again Paul.
