Maybe there's a misconception that needs to be cleared up here. Passionflower and passion fruit are two completely different plants. Passion fruit are tropical. Passionflower is the same as Maypops and they are native to the southeastern US. If they get enough rain (or, otherwise, water) to fatten them up, the fruit are delicious (to me, anyway).

Well, same family. Passiflora edulis is the commercially grown passionfruit. Maypops are passiflora incarnata.

Let me correct my guess. Looks more like Violet the more I look at it.

The taste between the two is drastically different.

The plant itself is a vine and, for instance, can be grown on a trellis. I used to walk around the campus of the facility where I work for exercise and there's a big field out back where maypops grow. I always liked grabbing one as I went by and eating it as I walked.

Whiskey is always in season in Kentucky, the hunting easier on you physically but maybe tougher emotionally.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.
