Well Hello and welcome. Love the crested Caracaras and the way they throw back their head and "Laugh". I had the privilege of meeting Doris Mager(sp?) AKA "The Eagle Lady of Florida" I actually got to help her in a lecture with her bird Cara the Caracara. Great birds.
I also loved her Burrowing owls and the way they imitate the sound of a Rattlesnake - Pretty cool defense. It would probably be the only time Rick was scared of a bird that is smaller than a chicken!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome all! I've been reading through the site a bit, and must say I'm very impressed with the knowledge here! I don't think I'm nearly as hard core as many of the folks here, but I spend over 100 days each year in the swamps and brush, so hopefully I might have a tip or two to contribute now and again.
