    Hi all,
I found this site on a recommendation from a fellow member from The Firing Line and it seems like there is a wealth of information to be found here. I reckon I'll just follow the 'questionnaire' ken wrote up so y'all will know a tad about me.

    Your Approximate Age Mid-20's

    Your Gender Male

    Your Geographic Location Kodiak, Alaska

Your Occupation U.S. Coast Guard. I am an Electronics Technician, specifically working on communication, navigation, and combat weapons systems.

Your Prior Relevant Training Been a volunteer firefighter for the majority of my adult life. I'm a certified Emergency Medical Responder. I hold weapons qualifications ranging from Sharpshooter to Expert. I'm an accomplished tower climber/rescuer/instructor. I'm a weapons enthusiast (specifically firearms) holding armorers certifications from Colt, Glock, and S&W. I'm a lifelong hunter, fisherman, and outdoor enthusiast.

The Nature of Your Prior Experience
Most of that is listed above.

Your Level of Experience Same as above.

Your Preparedness Planning Bug-out location is selected, kits are ready in place, and stocked with enough weapons to protect them. If you feel you need to know any more than that: you don't.

Your Interests and Hobbies Hunting, shooting, fishing, the usual.

Your Membership and Learning Objectives I figure there's enough knowledge out there... I might wind up learning something...
"They, the makers of the Constitution: conferred, as against the government, the right to be let alone - the most comprehensive of rights and the right most valued by civilized men. Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the government’s purposes are beneficial. The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well meaning but without understanding."

    I smell like low tide.

    Welcome Coastie.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.
