Thread: First knife

  1. #1

    Default First knife

I made this knife from an old cheap saw blade. I left the swirls the blade earned from cutting through the material it cut through over its life. It had become an Alabama blade. As it was missing most of its teeth.

Anyway, this is my first try other than the sawzall blade.

i always liked the swirls and lines left from the sanding stick when i use the 800-1500 grit. it's like character.

Excellent first knife. Gives you a good feeeling to know you can make the one basic tool of all survival needs.

Now that's what I call "progressive recycling!" I agree with everyone else & I also like the para-cord wrap!

Thanks for all the nice comments.

I might have to wander the flea market for some more saw blades. I wanna make a bigger knife with some CrashcartaŽ handles on it.
