Hey! I am. We got in around midnight this morning. Good trip overall. The yard sales were terrible. Mostly antique dealers wanting gold plated prices for junk. This isn't a very good picture but will give you some idea. This stretches for about a block on both sides of the road. It stretches about the same distance behind the camera, too.

In Ohio last year we saw mostly true yard sales. In Kentucky and Tennessee they were very organized into encampment of antique dealers.

About the most unique thing I saw was a bazooka for sale. I didn't ask if it worked. If you can think it up, someone had it for sale. A LOT of firearms both long guns and handguns and a bunch of muzzle loaders but there wasn't a deal to be had. Most were in the $350 range...the rust was free according to one guy. The decent firearms were in the $650 to $1100 range. Lot's and lot's of old files and saw blades. I'm sure all of them were waiting to be turned into works of art like some of these knife artists turn out.

I will give Eastern Tennessee the hands down award for windy roads. 127 is a coiled snake to drive. I'll also give Frankfort, Kentucky the hands down award for the coolest traditional dry-stack stone walls. They probably have the greatest collection of original, well preserved dry-stack stone walls I've ever seen. In some places they spanned a half mile on both sides of the road.

Those Duke boys do drive hard on those roads. Roads marked 10 MPH are NOT a suggestion. Faster than that around some of those curves and you'll have your head plastered against the side window from the centrifugal force. All while the Duke boys are trying to hook up to your rear bumper.

One night camping. One night resort. One night camping (I'll post on this one later) and one night at the casino. No, I didn't win. I'm the only person on earth that goes to a casino and is honest enough to tell the truth. $20 down for the night.

Still had fun. You know, the worst day out of the office is better than the best day in the office, kind of a thing. Lot's of fun, lot's of sun, too. Good to be back.

Glad you had a good time. My dad and stepmom live in where 127 & 30 meet, so their little town was booming this weekend. He said the same thing as you, though. Not a whole lot he wanted, but he did enjoy a ribfest!

I was scared to read at first.. thought maybe reb found a picture of Rick in the shower or something. I was imagining sasquatch...

just kidding! glad you had an uneventful trip (no accidents, etc) and made it back safe! Good to have you back!
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Helen Keller
