    Default hello from FL

Hi, sorry about not making my first post here. I guess I've been lurking here so long that I didn't realize I hadn't posted an intro yet as I subscribe and regularly post to numerous gun, camping, and survival sites.

I'm a family man (3 boys) that's heavily involved in Boy Scouting as an Assistant Scoutmaster and as an NRA Certified Modern & Muzzleloading Pistol/Rifle/Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer and USA Archery Certified Coach.

I've lived in the Tampa Bay area for well over a decade now but started life in upstate New York, where I learned (developed - a better word?) enjoyment of camping, hunting, and fishing (including bowfishing) from my dad and scouts at an early age. I also spent 6 years in the Army NG & Reserves while going to college in NY then SC.

Since moving to Florida, I gave up hunting for paper targets, lack of knowing where to hunt, and child rearing duties. Now that my oldest is a teen, I/we'd love to take it back up. If anyone knows anyone looking to take care of a hog problem, I'd love an intro. Deer would be nice too but I know people are funny about sharing good deer locations.

If you are looking for a winter getaway/vacation, and don't mind buying out of state liscense, I can show you a GREAT place to hunt hogs. I'm only a few hours from you (check my coords under my avatar and look south to the lake).
There are deer there too, but It's some hard trecking woods to move through.
    Anyhow, welcome to the boards!
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Helen Keller

Welcome from another transplanted New Yorker, although I left the city before I was a year old (high IQ for an infant). Have some land near Andes/Harpersfield.

Oh, YCC: I don't see a lake under your coordinates; oh, you mean ..... nevermind.
