Hello all, my name is jason. I just turned 39 and live in the foothills of overpopulated Colorado. I was raised on a bison and elk ranch and started practicing wilderness survival at an early age, it was real nice living in the woods! I went to an alternative high school which was more outdoor oriented. through this school I quenched my thirst for more survival learning by participating in two desert survival trips, a week in a snow cave at timberline, Churchill Manitoba to study polar bears, a guide and protector to another student studying wolves in Isle Royale, a week kayaking on the San Juan river, and a week group building camp at Mt.Evan's wilderness {where I guided a teacher 6 miles in the middle of the night, to get search and rescue for another student who wandered off with hypothermia!} spent many hours in the creek next to the school catching trout in primitive ways, high school doesn't get better than that! aside from my own survival studies and practice, my hobbies are flyfishing, flytying, shooting, relic hunting, getting away from civilization when possible. My job is taking care of about 500 acres of open space for a city. it's unbelievable the destruction and uncaring attitude many people have for their open space areas! anyway enough of my boring intro, I hope to meet some of you and of course learn more! seems to be many extremely knowledgable people here, what a great site. Thank you, Jason H.
