    Default hello all

Hello All I am Leonard Ray and I am currently retired. I am hoping to attain a degree in the field of History with a particular interest in Education. As I am retired I am looking for a way to reinvent myself and get back into the job market. I have spent some years in the public service role in the U.S. Military and in law enforcement. I plan to try to extend my experience into teaching. As now my physical status is such that I can no longer serve in any hands on capacity. I do hope however that it will help me as a stepping stone onto a path to teaching others
about history and its importance to our lives today. My ultimate goal is to impart some form of wisdom about the world and its events to some person or persons who can make use of it. My long term goal is as follows, to become a teacher of history; and my short term goals are to do the work necessary to get me there. I do have much to impart I have seen history as it has been made and wish to pass on what I have seen in a first hand account to others. I was there in the Philippines when Ferdinand Marcos lost power and the aftermath it produced. I have seen the Digital Age come into being as I grew myself. I have witnessed news events unfold as a spectator in the background; too varied and numerous to count. These are the things I wish to pass on to the coming generations so they are not lost as mere statistics in a dry text book but can come alive for the future students.
That I hope someday to teach; as for what I expect from my instructors, I hope they give me the varied and interesting experiences that have made up their lives. And with luck and perseverance I will share that to my students in the future as well. For we have a short time here on this mortal coil. And I wish to see that all have the chance to live and experience life at its best and knowledge can do that. To share knowledge is to share a treasure that is priceless and without compare.
