Thread: another hello

    Default another hello

Hi my name is Rudy and I found this site by accident. Since I liked what I saw, I decided to stick around.

I am a 54 year old male born and raised in Amsterdam. Married to girl from Miami and live in South Florida since 1989. Pretty "Floridized" by now.

After being a contract Administrator/Purchasing Agent in the high tech industry for 25 years, I ended up working for the local government in their office of Small Business Assistance. Since 2000, my wife and I run our own consulting company Aurora Business Assistance Institute and I also have my photography business. Mainly wildlife, nature and event photography. Weddings and wildlife photography appeared not to be all that different.

I spend a lot of time in the Everglades.

We're really not all that nice - it's how we make folks feel at ease before we let them know about the tax.

Rudy, welcome from another Gladesman. Being from Miami you probably run the trail a lot. Most down that way do 8th street, the jet port or loop road/ Monroe Station.

    Whats your stomping grounds?

I occasionally have gone riding at 8th Street East of Chrome and am looking for a riding group that doesn't require riding all the way out to Turner River Road.

Anyway, welcome to the best wilderness survival board I have found!

Not sure if I can help you here. I am a photographer and all I do is hiking. I do go to loop road and Big Cypress a lot. I'll ask around for you though. I know somebody who's part of a group called "Friends of the Everglades" (not sure, but I think that's what it is) They have a hang-out/campground around Loop road somewhere. I'll ask him.
