    Default Native American Ethnobotany Database

Here's a link to the Native American Ethnobotany database. It's a little tricky to use but it has a ton of information. Plug in the name of the plant you are looking for and you'll get a ton of Native American uses. If you click on the link in the name it will take you to the USDA plant database for a picture of the plant. Pretty cool.

There is also a book by the same name.

Awesome. That went straight in my favorites folder!

Very cool, thanks! I just found a Pima dish that uses mesquite beans and barrel cactus fruits.

"[barrel cactus] Fruits cut into pieces and boiled with mesquite pods."

Though other entries say to use the plants, rather than the fruit.

Nonetheless I'll be wasting a lot of company time browsing through it.
