    Default Try Surviving This

    Tropical storm Agatha hit Guatemala with quite a wallop. This article says over 100 killed, one report I saw said over 150. The sink hole that opened up reportedly swallowed a three story building and looks like something out of a science fiction movie. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010...hole-guatemala

    I just seen this on the news,,, Incredible !Talk about a TEOTWAWKI event if you happen to be where that hole developed, YIKES !

    you see something like that and you can be pretty sure that...yeah they were screwed. that's just freaky.

    Hmmm....looks like I might have finally found a place to hide the bodies.

    I saw that and said that is crazy. Then I signed on here and saw it again. How crazy is that?

    I saw the people working around it and I know you wouldn't find me near an unstable 300' + hole in the ground.

    Yeah, so we base jumped it. Now what...

    Speaking of belay partners. I weigh about 220lb and I had a helper that weighed I think 145lb and he caught me every time. He would lift off of the ground a couple feet and just swing feet first into the face and then lower me down.

    The girl who trained him weighed less than 110lbs and had no problem belaying me.

    usually sink holes are filled with concreat but i just dont think that will do in this situation. maybe we could donate the 2d vs ken thread to fill that hole.There might be a little left over, we could use that to fill some potholes. they might complaine about the smell but they will get used to it.

    That hole actually looks like it was bored.

    A perfect circle and smooth sides on the cut.

    No rubble visible, apparently straight down through 200' of solid rock into the aybess.
    If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?
