i planning on making some emergency survival food bars based in part on some others i,ve seen.
using mostly what i have on hand and some store bought ingredients.
i will try to make a 400calorie bar. but not sure yet as to what i wouse for a fat in the bars cause i would like
the fat to be of a powdered nature any ideas?

I thought about doing this last year, I youtube'd a bunch of granola recipes.....Then I ended up burning everything(I have horrible baking skills) If you look into it and you can bake fairly decent I recommend you try it. As far as increasing calories, ad sugars(honey, Syrup, ect.) and nuts/seeds(a pine nut and pecan have more nutrition and a higher fat count than oatmeal) If you get something to work I'd really like to see some pix

Once you add water to dried fruit you will rehydrate it at least partially. The water may allow bacteria to grow. You could add honey instead of water and powdered honey.

And in other news, hayshaker died early today after eating 12 lbs of home made survival bars. The police said he died with a smile on his lips.

I imagine even the city version would be beneficial if sugar or carbs were needed.
Make a rice crispy treat with m&m's in it and only eat one everyday....
as long as you don't try to put any 'scavenged' mushrooms in it, hopefully you won't die with a smile on your lips!
