    *note* cast iron skillets, dutch ovens, etc. are a good source of iron in your diet

    I agree, a 12 inch pan is more convenient. Price may differ. There are some cheaper ones which are of high quality also but its rare. A well known dutch oven brand maybe a good option because it has great reviews already.

    Cast iron lsat a long time, methods don't change too much.
