Something realistic and very interesting to me would be a Ford Transit new van with all-wheel or 4 wheel drive. At this time, its only front wheel which will work in snow weather - but not what I want. Get good gas mileage and has great cargo room for gear and with the optional windows has good visibility. I would get one in a minute if it had the 4 wheel drive.

Add some ground clearance and enough grunt to haul a boat and I would agree.

I like the interior, and I like the 4x4 camper concept, but what about center of gravity with that thing being so tall and going off road Im kinda thinking it would tip over pretty easy if ya started climping things.

Yeah I saw that Ken and that's why I added "stock unimog" to my post. Should have put standard unimog, but oh well. The unimog chasis is very customizable it seems.
